Battle of Hampton Roads Day

During this same weekend, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NOAA Monitor National Marine Sanctuary; the first sanctuary established in the country.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet Mariners’ and NOAA team members, learn more about the monumental battle, hear inspiring stories of Monitor and its crew, and enjoy interactive activities filled with history, science, and technology. We hope you’ll join us on this historic day!
