About the presentation:
The Lydians produced the first known government minted coins around 625 BC, but it was soon after that Greeks followed suit. Explore the history and aesthetics of coinage specific to Ancient Greece while getting a closer look at some of the oldest items in the Museum’s Collection. There might even be a counterfeit coin in the mix!
