Take a virtual trip with Aerospace Engineer Andrew Rader (MIT PhD) and The Mariners’ Museum and Park education staff as they take students on a mission through the past, present, and future of navigation.
About the presentation:
For centuries, mariners around the world have developed tools to determine where they are and where they’re going on Earth. Yet, how does a spacecraft navigate through interplanetary space, or how do humans navigate on the surface of a celestial object like the Moon? Learn more about this fascinating, mysterious frontier with artifacts from the Museum’s Collection presented to illustrate the changes of navigational instruments over time.
