VIRTUAL LECTURE
Presented by Dan Wood, docent at The Mariners’ Museum
FREE. Advance registration is required.
About the presentation:
In the centuries before the advent of GPS and other electronic navigation systems that preceded it, sailors depended on the sun and stars to find their way when out of sight of familiar landmarks. This presentation will demystify the basic principles that underlay this process, and explore the development of instruments and techniques that made navigating possible.

Viewers are welcome to send Dan comments or questions, which he will answer following the presentation.
